Arrow Voice & Data is a full service telecommunications company that looks after the phone, mobile, hardware needs of business, corporate and Government departments across Australia.

Like any business that markets and advertises Arrow Voice & Data found finding the most cost effective mediums challenging until the employed the use of 1300 and 1800 numbers.

Before Arrow Voice & Data used 1300 and 1800 number for each marketing campaign the responsibility was on the sales person to ask the customer what advertising medium they were calling from, relying on this method of market research is prone to error as often sales people forget to ask the question or put in false information, and then you end up investing in mediums that are unsuccessful.

By appointing a 1300 or 1800 to each of your marketing campaigns callers are more likely to call as the call is free to them if they are dialing a 1800 number, or the price of a local call Australia wide to a 1300 number.

Arrow Voice & Data 1300 and 1800 number services also have built in caller tracking, this allows your marketing manager to view every number that called each of your 1300 or 1800 number the date and the time of day, this will allow you to get the best results from your marketing campagins and kill of poor performing campaign, all by appointing an inbound number to each of your marketing campaigns.

Arrow Voice & Data has cost effective 1300 plans with no monthly rental options, no setup fees, no flagfalls, and great call rates.

To go to our online number reservation click Number Reservation or call us direct on 1300 886 076

Why print out to paper, when you can have the fax instantly directed to your email inbox ? Fax-to-email has customisable ways to easily digitise your documents to soft copy for electronic distribution via email, network folder, URL or via advanced software

The fax to email service will automatically deliver faxes to your email as PDF (or TIFF) attachments. Apart from the initial setup process, there are no other settings, software to download or changes to make.
As soon as a fax is received, this will be converted into an email with a PDF attachment – all you need to do is open the email up and click on the fax document. For enterprise fax services, there are several other methods of converting/encrypting and transmitting the fax document received.

The system also allows you to receive multiple faxes at once, eliminating any ‘busy’ lines situations.

The Fax to Email service is ideal for:

People on the move/telecommuters

Personal fax services

It is much cheaper than installing a dedicated fax line

A phone number will be allocated to each fax to email service. This will become your dedicated private fax number. You can divert any other phone number to this fax number, or attach a 1300/1800 national phone service.

Arrow efax is a simple and smooth process to get up and running for your business. To speak to one of our dedicated sales executives today simply log on to the link below or call through to our 1300 number.

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) This is a technology which allows you to make telephone (voice) calls using an Internet connection instead of using the standard public switched telephone network.

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) This is a technology which allows you to make telephone (voice) calls using an Internet connection instead of using the standard public switched telephone network.

VoIP is very clever as it allows remote workers to function as if he or she were directly connected to a PBX even while at home or in a remote office. You can unplug your office EPBX, plug into your home Internet connection and guess what it picks up the same phone number no matter the location it has been plugged into, skipping standard long distance charges.

VoIP is being used more and more to keep corporate telephone costs down, however price and quality are associated when it comes to VoIP solutions, the vast majority of problems with VoIP from any VoIP provider comes down to a lack of a reliable high-speed Internet connection. If you have a slow connection or trying to run to many handsets from the one Internet connection you call quality will suffer.

I don’t recommend you run a VoIP solution over your standard computer network, sharing the Internet connection. Think about this if your computer system gets a virus, your phone system also will, spend the extra and get a dedicated Internet connection.

Let’s not make this harder than it really is, VoIP is a very simple concept and very easy to set up with the right advice, products, backup support and provider, it is a fantastic alternate solution for you telecommunication needs.

With the new possibilities of having a virtual network available for both your voice and data services “Sip trunks” allow you to communicate via the Internet cloud at a fraction of the cost of traditional telephony.

At a first glance there isn’t too much a difference in price between the traditional set-up and using VoIP to make your calls until of course the benefits are made apparent.

If you have multiple sites or offices, retail stores or home workers “Sip trunks” allow you to merge traditional telephony networks and VoIP so that all calls are free within the network. Meaning you can have 50 different sites all available to call back to base and transfer calls between different sites at again no cost.

This is advantageous as firstly as it reduces the total cost of ownership across the business but secondly improves process and can be used in conjunction with data running across the same network including content management systems, applications, email and file transfer.

Arrow sell Sip trunks at wholesale prices and can deliver a virtual private network across an extensive range of hosted solutions and networks to suit your business requirements.

“So you want an ePBX but you don’t want to bundle it with a VoIP line? You can with Arrow, here is how you do it”

VoIP can be purchased as a bundled or an unbundled solution.

A bundled VoIP service comprises of the following key aspects when referring to a SIP trunk, VoIP’s equivalent of a PSTN line -

DID (Direct Indial Dial Number)

Call Number Display

Emergency Services

These services can be deactivated on your account or purchased from another VoIP wholesaler at reduced costs to help reduce on your telephone bills.

Arrow Voice & Data recommends against unbundling VoIP ePBX services as it is best to have all services with the one provider as it reduces the risk of services being incompatible, getting multiple phone bills, losing functionality of your VoIP services, and no longer having that one point of contact for all your telecommunication services which is extremely important for businesses.

Arrow Voice & Data VoIP services are ultra competitive as we include emergency services numbers and call number display in our packages at no extra cost. The areas where you can unbundle is on VoIP local area numbers, inbound numbers that are setup in each state to allow your callers to call to your business at the cost of a local call. A 1300 or 1800 number could be used in it’s place.

When moving to a VoIP solution adding extra functionality should be the main priority over saving money, so unbundling of VoIP services should be avoided where possible.

If you are having problem with your ISDN services the first step to take is record the problem, whether it is a no dial tone issue, or an incoming or outgoing call problem or a drop out issue.

Information is the key here to isolate the problem; if you are having a no dial tone issue the first thing to do is to power-cycle the NTU box.

This action will give the NTU a reboot and most of the time brings the service back. If you are having a problem with outgoing calls only, then you will need to provide call examples so we can isolate the issue, the same information will need to be gathered for incoming calls.

If you are having an issue with the service dropping out, 3 call examples will be required for our upstream tester to do a trace on the call and isolate the problem. By providing us with relevant information we can isolate and report the issue to the correct up-stream carrier.

I hope these simple steps will help you if you do have any issues with your service remember we are always here to help you through any service difficulties.

Thanks

Critical success factors in deploying Business Hosted Pbx solutions

Hosted pbx solutions for business can be confusing and daunting to evaluate and implement. This is the case mainly due to the increasing ranging number of “new” providers appearing hoping to cash in on the increasing interest in VoIP and hosted pbx solutions.

The main issues you will discover dealing with new or inexperienced hosted pbx or VoIP providers is their lack of knowledge in the overall business voice product range. In nearly all successful hosted pbx and VoIP deployments you will require a blend of traditional telephony networks as well as the new hosted pbx, VoIP and epbx solutions. Even if you choose to go for a pure VoIP solution your provider will need to be experienced and well connected to manage the number porting process to transfer your existing numbers to the hosted pbx solution.

There are some key points to cover to ensure you are going to receive the solution you require now and in the future.

Critical success factors in deploying Business Hosted Pbx solutions

Does your provider offer traditional PSTN, ISDN, VODSL and VoIP?If not you may be receiving advice from a sales person with only one solution to offer!

Does your provider offer a range of Data and Broadband access methods from a range of providers? If not you may well receive whatever connection they have access to, this can be very dangerous if the quality of bandwidth is poor or you require a business grade connection to carry 10, 20 or 30 simultaneous calls at one time. VoIP can be a trick business, you need to ensure your provider has access to a range of solutions and options to evaluate and offer you. If there is just one option on the menu then beware!

Blended VoIP Solutionsrefer to a solution where you can utilise the best technology for the specific requirement. We deploy Voip and hosted pbx solutions to businesses on a regular basis and I cant tell you how often our clients use a blend of PSTN lines for FAX, EFTPOS,ALARMS, Business grade ISDN to guarantee inbound call quality and fault response times, and VoIP to route outbound calls and take advantage of FREE interoffice calls.

Geographical flexibilitymeans can your provider assist to manage the requirements of REMOTE OFFICES or HOME WORKERS. The ability to deliver a business Hosted PBX that can be as flexible as you require it is very important. For example: if you have staff wishing to work from home or from another remote site they can simply have a VoIP hosted PBX handset set up for roaming. This allows the flexibility of working anywhere you have broadband access!

Number Porting:simply put this offers the ability for you to keep your business phone numbers when you are moving to a managed pbx solution. Number porting can be a confusing an challenging in experienced, it is critical your VoIP provider has relationships with Telstra, OPTUS, aapt to ensure your numbers can be smoothly ported across with limited disruption.

Experience : Nothing beats experience! Look for a solid history in business telecommunications. Look for an extensive list of real testimonials. Look for a provider with a range of business solutions, not a “one size fits all ” provider.
