Arrow Voice and Data strongly recommend every business to have a backup plan in case of equipment failure or an outage on some services, so the customer minimizes loss of business as low as it could be.
The best back up plan is to install a stand alone PSTN phone line with a regular analogue handset. Arrow Voice and Data will setup a diversion from your prime (Advertised) number to the stand alone PSTN. This way, the customer will be able to receive inbound calls and make calls in case their ISDN, VoDSL, or PABX service fails.
On the other hand, most of Arrow Voice and Data customers rely on Internet and data services. In this case, we propose that the customer install a business grade backup internet service such as ADSL2+ on the backup PSTN line. Alternatively, the customer may purchase a wireless USB internet that can be connected to any laptop or a desktop PC to keep an open channel to the external world.
