Inbound 1300 Numbers

31 Mar 2010, 8:25 am

1300 numbers, sometimes called Local Calling Numbers are services which allow the cost of the call to be charged to the called party rather than the calling party.

Customers calling a 1300 number are charged the cost of a local call with the balance of the call charges being applied to the called party.

1300 are extremely popular with businesses in order to promote their products and services to a segment of customers that they may not otherwise reach and they generally find a higher response to advertising. They are also highly useful for disaster recovery, should you experience a loss of service it is easy to change the answer point to a service that is working. If you decide to relocate your office to another suburb or even another state, your 1300 number remains with you at all times and is not affected by your relocation.
