Wireless Ethernet
19 Sep 2008, 4:23 pmWireless Ethernet is a well established and stable alternative to the normal hardwired Ethernet solution. I have found many instances where we have been able to provide high end data to clients that previously were unable to utilize,Wireless Ethernet has filled that void.
A great example of this is a long standing customer which core business is retailing computer hardware. They had multiple sites from which enjoyed our SHDSL (2mb/2mb) and our hardwired Ethernet. But as always there was one site which could only achieve 512/512 SHDSL. The problem was that this site was located in a qualified 2MB area but was limited to the lowest speed due to: they were located in a major shopping centre and their hardwired cable is connected to a Sub-exchange!
Wireless Ethernet technology allowed us to locate the receiver in a clear location on the roof of the complex, thus bypassing the sub-exchange. The major factors that have impressed my clients are as follows:
- Speed to market, The install time on this product is only 10 working days (15 working days less than hardwired Ethernet.)
- The ability to gain access to Ethernet technology when hardwired is not available.
- Market leading pricing.
- Low contention ratio.
- 1MB/1MB through to 10MB/10MB.
- Fully maintained service.
- Dedicated Wireless Ethernet customer service.
Wireless Ethernet is a cost effective and efficient solution which has opened the access to Ethernet technology to a large portion of businesses who were unable to utilize such a clean Data connection.
