iPhone 4 pre launch orders being taken now

By now the whole world knows about Apple’s iPhone 4, and by the looks of it, everyone wants one.
Shortly after launching their pre-order web site in the US, AT&T systems went into meltdown and crashed after more than 600,000 iPhone 4 pre-orders were lodged.
Apple began telling customers that they wouldn’t receive pre-ordered iPhones until July 2. But that was yesterday, today Apple is saying customers pre-ordering an iPhone 4 won’t receive their units until July 14—news which no doubt will have some iPhone fanatics choosing to camp out at retail locations to set hands on the device the second they go on sale in the US June 24.
All this interest in the iPhone 4 doesn’t look good for Australia. We are still set for a July launch, but given the huge demand I suspect this may be revised.
