What is VoIP PBX?
24 May 2010, 8:51 amVoIP PBX stands for Voice over Internet Protocol Private Branch Exchange.
An IP PBX replaces the traditional PBX or phone system.
It is the new generation of PBX which uses the internet to carry information.
It works as a phone system which sends voice, data and video content over a data network.
One of the advantages of an IP PBX is that it employs converged data and voice networks, this means that internet access as well as VoIP communications and traditional telephone communications are all possible using a single line.
Having an IP PBX will reduce long term operating and maintenance costs and at the same time provide flexibility as your company grows.
