1300 Numbers Implimentation and Solutions

For small to medium business this is espessially the case. People who may not have called your company simply because you are not in their local area will call a 1300 number.
They give the perseption of size and there is the belief that while it may not be a free call it is cheap.
What is not as commonly known about the 1300 numbers is their effectiveness in monitoring the results of different advertising and marketing campaigns. Arrow has recently sponsored a white paper on this and with working with some of our customers and indeed ourselves we have been able to really see first hand how effective this is.
One of Arrows long term customers who has an excellent sign writing business approached us after reading a copy of our white paper. They were spending approximately $5000.00 per year for advertising in their local paper, around $2350 per year on Yellow pages, $700 per year on white pages $4200 on flyer drops and $10,000 on web marketing, maintaining their website and search engines. When we asked them which was the most effective marketing mediums we were told ”I don’t know probably Google and Yellow pages” which just happened to be the 2 mediums they spent most money on (wishful thinking).
Arrow deceided to allocate different 1300 numbers to each medium they were marketing and advertising in and allocate different 1300 numbers to their website. With the 1300 numbers ability to actually capture how many calls were received on each number whether the calls came in from locally, nationally or from mobile phones we were able to increase his inbound calls by 12% simply through his website and updating pages which were not creating any response and bring them more into line with pages which were driving in business.
Through all of the other mediums now being able to acurately measure the number of calls coming into the business we were able to identify what ads or marketing mediums were working and which weren’t and ramp up the ones which were giving them the best results and cut back on spending on the marketing which was not driving in business we actually were able to increase the acuracy of their advertising and market by 43%.
They have had to employ 2 more staff simply to handle the influx in business and phone calls and they are looking at bring on a 3rd person because as this snowballs and they keep getting more business, their marketing budget keeps growing and hence the business keeps growing and moving forward.
They actually now have the ability and the vision thanks to the 1300 number sto knopw when they want to and will grow and are able to much more acurately forcast what is coming a ahead simply because they now have historical data which shoes if I spend X amount of dollars on a particular advertising medium I will get Y amount of leads over a period of Z weeks.
