Connecting multiple ISDN services in rotary
25 May 2009, 10:12 amA lot of businesses run multiple ISDN services to give them maximum phone capacity for the staffing level of their office. Once these lines are installed they then need to be setup so that calls can be made to one prime number or to individual auxiliary numbers (or individual extensions). The multiple ISDN services also need to be linked together in order for calls to overflow correctly.
In order to do this you need to setup a Group Directory Number (GDN). This number acts as a prime number to all of your ISDN services. This number also controls the line hunt for all of the prime and auxillary lines by sending calls to the next available free line. The GDN can also then be used for advertising purposes so that you only need to advertise 1 number rather than advertising multiple numbers.
If you would like further information on ISDN services or how a GDN can benefit you then please call Arrow Customer Service on 1300 305 794.
