Different types of Line Hunt
8 Feb 2010, 1:00 pmHi All, In this blog I will be explaining the different types of line hunt and the benefits of having your phone lines setup this way.
Line Hunt is a fantastic product which helps to minimise the amount of calls that you miss. The more calls you miss then the more business you may lose to a competitor. Line Hunt also allows you to advertise one number whilst having multiple phones answer those incoming calls.
In order to use Line Hunt you need to have at least two phone lines which are used for incoming calls.
There are two different types of Line Hunt which can be setup:
Call Circulate – This type of Line Hunt will direct all calls to the nominated prime number and if this is busy the calls will jump to the first auxiliary number allocated. If this number is busy the calls will jump to the second allocated auxiliary line and so on until the end of the line hunt.
Call Share – This type of line hunt will evenly distribute calls to all phones that are setup in the Line Hunt group.
Once Line Hunt is setup, you can still receive calls to the individual numbers allowing your staff to keep their own extensions and they can still make outbound calls from all lines. Line Hunt can also be used with fax machines to ensure you never miss a fax.
I hope this blog has helped answer your questions in regards to line hunt. If you are interested in this product or would like to know more then please call Customer Service on 1300 305 794.
