I have a 1300 number I would like to bring across to Arrow – What information do I need to supply?

Firstly, you need to supply Arrow with a copy of the most recent invoice from your current provider. This invoice must clearly show the line rental charges for your 1300 number, as well as your current providers account number.

Arrow requires this information so that we can ensure we are bringing across the correct number (this process is also known as porting). We cross check the information you supply on your application form with the information provided on your invoice.

It is important that current providers account number is correct. If it is incorrect, the port will be rejected. In some cases, you may be asked to supply a ‘Wholesale Account Number’. This is required when your provider uses another company (known as a carrier) to supply their numbers to you, the customer. There are 5 main carriers: Telstra, Optus, AAPT, Primus and RSL COM. if your provider is not one of these, then you may require a wholesale account number to port your service to Arrow. Simply ask your current provider whether this is required. If in doubt, Arrow’s expert team will be able to confirm this for you. Then all you need to do is ask your current provider for the number.

Secondly, you need to supply the answering point for your 1300 number. The answering point is the destination number that people calling your 1300 number will reach. You may have more than one answering point, depending on your call routing option (see below).

Thirdly, you need to supply your preferred call routing option/s. These can include Australia Wide Routing (one answer point for all states), State Based Routing (different answer points for each state), Postcode Based Routing (different answer points for each postcode) and more. Lastly, you need to supply a date for Arrow to activate your service. Please allow up to 10 working days.
