Security Staff

For applications where the external antenna is required to get the signal above obstacles like indoor and outdoorstaff on a campus, the DuraFon 4X requires only 1 antenna for all 4 lines versus 4 antennas for the DuraFon 1X. Terminal antennas need to be installed 20' apart to avoid interference. Because the DuraFon 4X requires only 1antenna per 4 lines, installation of a system with antenna is much easier and more cost effective than with the DuraFon 1X.

IT Staff, Hotel and Catering Managers, Health Care

Each line on the DuraFon 4X can be dedicated to an individual handset or to a group, so a user can claim access to 1 to 4 lines (or analog ports) exclusively for their use. One executive could have their own base with 4 line access. Or two IT team members could each have 2 lines dedicated to them off one base. Or four plant floor managers could each have their own line off one base.

Workgroups

EnGenius DuraFon 4X is ideal for workgroups that are sharing line access and need to be able to contact eachother for direct handset - to - handset 2 - way radio. Up to 36 users can share 4 analogue lines or ports. Or one line can be dedicated to a supervisor leaving the other three lines open for the group.

Store Manager Behind a PABX

For plant or store managers who likely require their own dedicated extensions, bases can be set up in a 1 - base - to - 1 - handset ratio off analogue ports behind a PABX or key system. By establishing a hunt group or forwarding calls when they are not at their desks, managers can make and receive calls from their regular extension wherever they go in their application.

Call Security

Because the 2 - way radio is independent of the base station and has a private 1 - to - 1 link with patented frequency hopping, security can talk to each other all over the store without anyone listening to their conversation and without tying up the phone line.
