Do I need to activate International Roaming if I am going overseas? What are my other options?

28 Apr 2009, 6:00 pm

In order for a customer to make calls while they are overseas, International Roaming is required to be activated.

In order to ensure that International Roaming is activated you will need to contact your mobile service provider. You can contact Arrow Voice and Data at any time to enquire about your existing mobile service and to see whether the International Roaming feature is activated. Once this is activated you are pretty much set to pack up your bags and travel.

Don’t have a mobile service and want one? Call Arrow on 1300 305 794 and we will gladly assist.

One thing you might want to keep in mind while traveling is your call costs. International Roaming can be quite expensive so please be mindful of the calls you make and calls you receive. Also keep in mind if you are unable to send a message you may want to change the network you are roaming on as some roaming carriers do not allow certain features to be available to consumers. How do I do that you may ask? It’s simple. In your menu, go to settings, phone settings, network selection, and select manual. This will search for an available networks. Select a network other than the one you are on.

If you don’t want to use you mobile phone overseas then your other option would be to use a telephone card or go to the local post office and use the telephones on site.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact Arrow’s Customer Service Team on 1300 305 794.
